职位介绍: Job Summary： The Senior Compressor Validation/Application Engineer is a key member of the Advanced Technologies Applied Compression team, which works across the business to support the compressor development in validation and application phase. In this role, you need through working with the compressor design team to conduct the compressor prototype build, testing, qualification and manufacturing integration of screw and/or centrifugal compressors used in HVAC and refrigeration applications. You will also need to work on compressor design change on the existing production to achieve the customer requirements of compressor improvement on performance or reliability. This position is located in Shanghai or Taicang China. Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added): • Lead the whole compressor validation phase, including the lab test stand/loop retrofit, prototype build, daily test data review and evaluation. • Work with global compressor design team to facilitate design reviews, conduct design FMEAs, develop and execute virtual engineering and physical testing validation plans. • Create and maintain engineering documentation, including technical reports, lab test results, and specifications. • Support the implementation team for the MAB/MVB compressor build and chiller applications. • Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing engineering, and operations. Assure compatibility between design and process capabilities. • Mechanical design of the existing compressor production, including evaluation of pressure vessels, castings, bearings, lubrication systems, and seals. Specify, select, and apply motors in compressor applications. Understand the modeling and simulation tools outputs and integrate information to make informed engineering choices. • Compressor performance evaluation by using in house selection tool. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required. • Minimum of 8 years’ work experience in product design and/or testing. Key Competencies: • Mechanical design and engineering skills, with practical hands-on hardware experience. • Subject matter expertise in one or more aspects of mechanical design and/or application. • Plus to have ability to perform the FEA analysis, rotor dynamics, and vibration analysis. • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate up, down, and across the organization. • Knowledge of Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning/Refrigeration (HVAC/R) fundamentals. • Excellent analytical, mathematical, project management and problem-solving skills.
