- Job Description & Summary We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced ESG Consultant with a focus on the Chinese market to join our organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies and initiatives that align with our company's sustainability objectives. Collaborating with a team of problem solvers, you will contribute to resolving complex business challenges from strategy to execution. Key Duties: •Assist in environmental/sustainability data management and the preparation of information across energy/emissions/water/waste and other social metrics •Gain abundant experiences in ESG solution, ESG Due Diligence, building lifecycle carbon emission management, ESG top design, Strategy consulting, corporate social responsibility / supplier audit etc., for multinational and local Chinese clients •Assist client project engagement processes •Identify and make suggestions for efficiencies and improvements when performing work. •Embrace different points of view and welcome opposing and conflicting ideas. •Manage multiple projects within scope/budget/ schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables. Responsibilities: •Develop and Implement ESG Strategy: Collaborate with the ESG Director to create and execute the company's ESG strategy and management system, adhering to industry best practices and relevant ESG frameworks. •Serve Clients: Engage with clients on sustainability-related projects, assisting them in achieving their sustainability and decarbonization objectives. •Stay Informed: Keep abreast of Chinese and international regulatory requirements and industry best practices concerning ESG, ensuring compliance, and promoting continuous improvement. •Assure ESG Data: Validate ESG data against standards, including specific data points such as scope 3 GHG emissions. •Address Expectations: Respond to ESG expectations from regulators, investors, and ESG rating providers such as MSCI, S&P Global, EcoVadis. Requirements: •Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university with consistent outstanding academic record, advanced degree is preferred. •3 years+ of highly relevant work experience in sustainability strategy, green finance, climate risk analysis, green building, clean energy and other ESG related topics. •Good understanding of global mainstream ESG frameworks, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), and Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). •Demonstrated experience in data collection and handling, strong skills in using tools like MS software to visualize the data. •Fluency in English, both written and verbal. •Familiar with ISO-14064, GHG Protocol or PAS2050 is preferred •Relevant experience in renewables (solar, wind, hydrogen, hydro, geothermal), asset decarbonization, decarbonization policy, sustainable financing, carbon offsets, carbon audit or carbon modelling is preferred.
