- Essential Responsibilities and Duties The Supplier Leader is responsible for managing the supplier management to ensure on time delivery of quality products to satisfy the stakeholders’ requirements, with or below the market price. Specific deliverables and responsibilities • Strategize negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers to meet quality, delivery and cost objectives. • Lead the contracting process with suppliers in coordination with Contract Manager. • Engage with all appropriate stakeholders to meet defined objectives and ensure the effective implementation of Sourcing Plans. • Conduct constant supplier engagement & development for managed suppliers to ensure sufficient capacity and resources are allocated to SLB business. • Plan, lead and support in supplier audits. • Drive and monitor favorable inflation activities to achieve supplier inflation objectives. • Be the focal escalation point for managed suppliers’ portfolio from internal stakeholders, such as PO expediting or de-expediting/cancellation. • Initiate and drive activities to reduce supplier lead time. • Ensure Supplier Performance Management comply with SLB Supplier Management Procedure. Experience in the following areas is preferred • Good communication ability in both Chinese and English, and good problem-solving, negotiation, presentation skills. • Strong Supplier Relationship Management and the ability to navigate the organization and influence decisions. • Short/long term planning foresight, commercially focused, pragmatic, proactive and results driven. • Good knowledge on commodity prices fluctuations. Understanding their impact on the managed portfolio.
